Inspiration:

‘The Dawning’ came out of a period of disquiet for me and no doubt many others. The world, and those who ‘run’ it, took its people from one crisis to another. I had a sense that there must be better times ahead for humanity, it is, after all, the ‘Age of Aquarius’. So ‘The Dawning’ with her textures based on plant cells under a microscope, is reaching up for that moment, like flowers growing from seeds and about to bloom.
