Inspiration:
‘365’ is a sculpture made up of 365 bas-relief sculptures, which were created during the course of 2011.
A book was produced which provides a photographic record of all the individual sculptures, together with each blog entry that was placed online everyday of the year.
These entries were usually the result of online searches for things that fitted the description of what I had seen, or were identifications by people on nature forums or my own expert friend. All the sculpts were based on the nature which I came across during many walks and time spent in gardens, including my own. After receiving comments on Facebook and my blog throughout the year as the piece was created, the finished sculpture didn’t see the light of day until August 2012.
A cast was completed, and installed as part of a sculpture exhibition in the gardens of RHS Wisley, Surrey, England.
