'KEMSLEY SCHOOL SCULPTURE' (2005)

  • Bronze with cast stone plinth
  • Approx 1m 50cm high
    (with plinth)

Jonathan was commissioned in 2004 by Kent County Council to produce a sculpture to commemorate the opening of Kemsley Community Primary school in Sittingbourne, Kent. The school wanted to emphasise the children's learning about nature and their environment. They also wanted it to feature children and so it seemed natural to set them in the outdoors as if working on a project. The sculpt was installed in June 2005.
