This labrador dog portrait was a commission I received in 2009.

I had some photographs to work from which the client felt caught Maggie's character. I also took many of my own photographs and measurements from the dog herself, so as to rough out the basic shape onto an armature.

All commissions like this start with a similar process followed by my working on the clay sculpt. Clients are welcome to view at any stage and give a final approval before the piece goes to the foundry.
